For the past week, Propellerhead Software have been unveiling the new features within the next releases of their flagship products Reason and Record.

There are some wonderful new features to be found inside these two products and when they're finally released I'm sure that I will upgrade and be very happy with them.

I thought that this would be a good time to share my thoughts on Reason overall and take a trip down memory lane to look at what these guys over in Sweden have given us over the years.

The Propellerhead Software team have certainly saved the best 'til last this week; the fifth and final update from them about the forthcoming Reason 5 / Record 1.5 software is Kong.

This machine is my favourite update to Reason 5; it's simply amazing and... dare I say... it's going to give NI's Battery a run for it's money!

The fourth update on the Propellerhead Software website unveiled today shows off the new live sampling capabilitis included in all sample-based instruments within Reason 5.

This functionality is long overdue; the samplers in Reason weren't samplers at all because, er... they couldn't sample.
