Beeline Moto II: A Compact Companion for the Road

Recently, I had the opportunity to test out the Beeline Moto II, kindly gifted to me by the folks at Beeline.
I decided to put it through its paces during a ride on the CCM Maverick, heading from Sheffield to CCM in Bolton for a total of 76 miles. Along the way, I made a stop at MC Hub in Darwen, visited my mum’s house, and finally reached CCM Motorcycles in Bolton.
First Impressions
The Beeline Moto II immediately impressed me with its compact form factor. Despite its small size, it offers a wealth of functionality. The turn-by-turn navigation was clear and easy to follow, and the audible alerts were noticeable even over the Maverick’s loud pipes at speed.
Features and Functionality
According to Beeline’s official website, the Moto II boasts a 1.45-inch ultra-bright IPS TFT display with a resolution of 412x412 pixels, ensuring visibility in various lighting conditions. The device is waterproof and shockproof, making it suitable for all weather conditions.
It offers up to 14 hours of battery life and features glove-friendly RockerTop 2™ buttons for ease of use. The Moto II supports both route and compass navigation modes, provides speed and ETA information, and allows for GPX route import/export. It also includes ride tracking and sharing capabilities, supports multiple languages, and offers speed limit alerts where available.
Real-World Use
I attached the device using the standard mount and rubber bunnies included with the product. It was easy to mount, very sturdy and looked great on the bike without taking up and real space on the handlebars.
The companion Beeline app is super intuitive as well as easy to use, I was able to quickly plan my route and connect to the Moto II from my iPhone.
During my ride, the Moto II provided reliable navigation, guiding me seamlessly through each leg of the journey. The audible alerts were particularly helpful, ensuring I didn’t miss any turns even amidst the noise of the bike.
The device’s compact design meant it didn’t clutter the handlebars, and its intuitive interface made it easy to interact with while on the move.
Carry Case, Mount and Powered Insert
As you can see in the main picture, Beeline were kind enough to supply me with the Carry Case, Bar Clamp Mount and 12V Powered Mount Insert.
I used the Carry Case when I took the CCM back to Bolton and it was great to have with me to put it in when I removed the Beeline Moto II from the bike to take back home with me. There's space for the Moto II and an additional section for the standard mount and bungees.
The Bar Clamp Mount and 12V Powered Mount Insert will be fitted to my KTM 890 Duke GP at a later date so I can have a more permanent solution on that bike.
Final Thoughts
The Beeline Moto II proved to be a valuable companion on the road. Its combination of compact design, clear navigation, and robust features make it a worthy addition to any rider’s gear. Whether you’re navigating city streets or exploring country roads, the Moto II offers a reliable and user-friendly navigation solution.
